I think about loneliness the way a doctor thinks about a patient. With urgency, with detail, and with the genuine belief that something can be done about it.
I have watched people build entire lives in places far from home and still feel completely alone. I have seen elderly parents on video calls where the call ends and the silence comes back heavier than before. I have been the person at 2am with something weighing on me and no one to call.
COMPANION came from that. Not from a market analysis. From the gap between what technology promises and what it actually delivers to the people who need it most.

When you use the app, we collect your email address for authentication, your profile information including companion name and gender preferences, your conversation history to enable memory and proactive features, your device push notification token, and general usage data such as message count and last active time. Your data is used solely to provide and personalise your COMPANION experience. We use Firebase (Google) for authentication and database storage, Google Gemini API for AI response generation, and Replit for backend hosting. We do not sell, trade, or rent your personal information to any third party. You may request deletion of your account by emailing ali@therealcompanion.app and we will respond within 30 days. The app is intended for users 18 years of age or older. Governed by the laws of the United Arab Emirates.

You agree not to use COMPANION to generate, share, or promote harmful, abusive, violent, or explicit content of any kind. Your companion is an artificial intelligence, not a human being. Conversations do not constitute professional, medical, psychological, or legal advice. COMPANION offers a free tier of 50 messages, a Premium plan at AED 29 per month, and a Premium Plus plan at AED 79 per month, cancellable anytime from app settings.
